Disinfecting Dwell Time

Here’s another one on disinfecting.

Deeper Details of Disinfecting

A lot of the classic advice here in a very short article.

– Clean first – disinfectants aren’t for soil removal.

– Follow label instructions, especially re proper dilution.

– Not all dwell times are the same. ┬áThe “10 minute” rule we tend to quote is overkill for a lot of disinfectants – some make a kill claim for as little as 30 seconds of wet dwell.

(Which, if you are interested in disinfecting effectively is great – it’s a lot easier to keep a surface wet for 30 seconds than for 10 minutes.)
